I love this jiu jitsu video; I have lost count of the number of times I have watched it. These two black belts show loads of techniques and it is non stop. The take downs are great, and the transitions are fantastic. I particularly like the flying arm bars.
The guy that filmed this video says that the two black belts are Tyrone Glover and Derek DiManno from Cassio Werneck’s club (www.cassiowerneck.com) and they are demonstrating some of their favourite tournament techniques.
As I write this, this jiu jitsu video has been viewed 1,620,387 times, which I think reflects how good this video is. For me great fighters, showing great techniques with great music = great jiu jitsu video.

This week I have been watching lots of jiu jitsu videos in preparation for this Sundays competition and found this technique from the Submission 101 guys.
I have trouble getting the triangle on to bigger, stronger or very quick opponents, even if I break their posture. The triangle ends up being half on, however there is too much space so the choke does not go on. At the moment, I switch to the arm bar. This jiu jitsu video shows a transition from this half on triangle to a crank. This looks really tight, and I have definitely going to try this at training tonight.
Please let me know what success with this technique. Until the next jiu jitsu video post, have fun on the mat.

In this jiujitsu video Eddie Bravo demonstrates the level of flexibility he has what it allows you to do as a BJJ fighter. I found this jiujitsu video really inspiring and has motivated me to stretch everyday. In the comments part of this video on you tube, the submission 101 guys recommend a video from the http://fitnessjiujitsu.com/ website that shows a daily stretching routine. Has anyone tried this out? If so let me know, I am really interested in the results you have achieved.

Everyone in BJJ and beyond knows who Eddie Bravo is; here is the jiu jitsu video that shows him fighting Royler Gracie at the 2003 ADCC.
There’s no much more to really say, this jiu jitsu video is not the best quality, but hey, sit back and watch this historic fight that changed the BJJ and MMA landscape.

Eddie Bravo has revolutionised BJJ and grappling. This jiu jitsu video shows the rubber guard to triangle techniques demonstrated by the MMA girls that he used to submit Royler Gracie at the 2003 ADCC.
What I like about this technique is the rubber guard allows you to break the posture of your opponent and keep them close to you so that the triangle can be put on. I have seen several other jiu jitsu videos where Eddie Bravo talks about flexibility, I think this is the key to success.

Before I watched this jiu jitsu video I didn’t know that there was a counter for the rubber guard, let alone a counter for the counter to the rubber guard! I think the Submission 101 guys produce the best instructional jiu jitsu video on the web.
What I like about this jiu jitsu video is the number of options it shows that you have. I have used this technique in training and have been really impressed how effective the submission from the bottom and sweep is. This technique gives you total control of your opponent, it doesn’t matter what you choose to do once you secure the position that is it. I also agree with Brandon Quick that it is important to apply intellect when using any techniques as the best grapplers use the techniques as an art rather than a science to ensure your thinking when confronted with a challenge is as flexible as your limbs.

I have trained a few times with Michael Russell at his club and he is a great guy and teacher. This jiu jitsu video shows the final of the 76kg brown belt class at the 2008 Kent Open between Michael Russell and Andy Roberts. On the way to the final Andy won one of his matches with a really impressive flying triangle see this jiu jitsu video here. From the start of the fight Michael attacks Andy, effectively using the spider guard to sweep and then finally finish the fight with a helicopter arm bar. It’s one thing doing a helicopter arm bar in training but to win a major competition with it is something else!

This jiu jitsu video shows Roy Dan vs Nick Diaz (the MMA guy) competing in the 2001 US Open in he blue belt class. These guys are non stop for the whole fight. It’s great to see that both are constantly attacking. The arm bar counter shown in this jiu jitsu video is impressive; it is always interesting to see BJJ techniques actually used in competition.
Both Nick Diaz and Roy Dean are now black belts. I have Roy Dean’s blue belt requirements instructional jiu jitsu video which I like a lot – there is a good range of techniques, with each broken down into its key elements and also shot from different angles so you can see all the details.
